Veterans Appreciation Page
This page is in appreciation of the men and women who have sacrificed their time and lives in defense of our county and our way of life. Here I will have links to Veterans Day page and to the Veterans Affairs page, where you can get information on your rights as a Veteran and many links to forms you may need for obtaining certain benefits.
If you have lost your DD Form 214 you can acquire a copy by filling out the form at the VA forms site, making a printed copy and mailing it in. The normal time-frame is around 60 - 90 days to get it back. If you are planning to use funeral services and/or be buried at a National Cemetery this form is a must. It is also a must for any kind of benefits you wish to apply for.
Below are a couple of links. The link to the Veterans Day Page has multiple links about the History of Veterans Day. The link to the Official Veterans Affairs Page has all the links you need to find out about your rights and the benefits you are entitled to as a Veteran. By the way the form to download for getting a copy of your DD-214 is SF-180. It is in Acrobat Reader format so you will need Acrobat Reader to view it. You can download and fill it out with Acrobat Reader. Then print it and mail it to the address for your branch of service, the addresses are provided at the bottom of the form.
Any feedback about this page would be greatly appreciated. Post you thoughts on my Message Board at my Home page or email me. My email address is at the bottom of my Home Page. Thanks Ranger 1 out..............
